- My weekend at Angela’s yoga retreat at The Retreat House was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, there was a beautiful sense of calm, connection, and intention. Angela’s yoga classes were the heart of the experience — her guidance is grounding, inspiring, and full of warmth. She creates a space where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered, no matter their experience level. Each practice left me feeling more connected to my body and breath, and more present in the moment. The beds were cozy and inviting, the vegan food was absolutely delicious, and our amazing hosts, Deb and Jenn, went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. The property itself was peaceful and full of charm, with everything you could possibly need for a perfect weekend getaway. And the group of women who attended made the whole experience even more meaningful — such a beautiful, supportive community.I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and deeply grateful. Angela is truly gifted — I highly recommend this retreat. 5 stars all the way!-Tanya Willmott
- Collingwood Yoga Weekend Retreat, held at The Retreat House Holistic B&B, was an incredible opportunity to disconnect from routine and rejuvenate among nature. Angela expertly guides each morning and evening yoga experience in a way that connects our body and mind with the natural happenings around us. Angela encouraged us to be present and conscious about how our surroundings can influence us. During the unexpected power outage she invited us to embrace the stillness of being off-grid. Turning to the wind blowing through the trees I reflected on how something so invisible could make such an impact. Through yoga we connected with our most authentic self, reaching deep and awakening the parts that we may be suppressing. Like the wind, there is power in the things we cannot see and she encouraged us to bring them to the forefront. Highlights of the weekend included group nature walks, spa treatments such as professional full body massages and hydrating facials. Down time was used to connect with others by engaging in open conversations, sharing aroma therapies, and participating in mind, spirit and soul reflection activities. Vegan meals were prepared over wood burning fire and enjoyed in a family dining setting. Left the retreat feeling humbled to have been surrounded by a group of women all equally invested in the importance of physical and spiritual well being.-Amelia Wenderoth

- This was my very first yoga retreat, and I was honestly a bit nervous about doing it on my own. But from the moment I arrived, I never once felt out of place or unwelcome. Somehow, this incredible group of strangers felt like people I had known forever—we shared so many laughs and unforgettable moments together.Angela’s wellness retreat was everything I hoped for and more. The atmosphere was warm and peaceful, the location was beautiful, and even though we got hit by a snowstorm, everything still ran smoothly and stayed fun. The food was absolutely amazing—nourishing and delicious.I loved every single aspect of this retreat and left feeling so refreshed and inspired. I’ll definitely be doing this again!-Cristina
- My daughter and I attended Angela’s wellness retreat last May. It was such a rich immersive bonding experience for us! From the second we arrived, we were wowed by the rustic character and charm of the Retreat House. Everything was so cosy and lovely and made us feel right at home. Soon after we arrived, we had the MOST delicious and nutritious snacks followed by dinner. To describe the food as delicious, is an understatement. We simply could not get enough. The first evening, we did yoga in front of the wood fired stove, to candle light. It was the most beautiful and soothing practice that truly stilled our minds and bodies. Angela held space for each of us to take exactly what we needed from each practice. Our practice was followed by a tea service and then we all gathered around had such a great discussion and really got to know each other over a few fun games and the karaoke! Each of the rooms have the most comfortable bedding that literally swallows you up for the most delicious sleep. Saturday morning was a more invigorating practice that truly set the tone for the day. Following yoga, we all gathered around for breakfast and wellness shots. Angela did all of the legwork to have a registered massage therapist onsite to treat everyone who wanted a massage. We then were free to participate in a group hike while some stayed back to reflect on what they needed from the weekend. Saturday's dinner did not disappoint- BUT make sure to save room for dessert! The evening yoga was our favourite, these soulful practices were the perfect way to let go of everything we did not know we were carrying. On Sunday morning, at the breakfast table, it felt like we were all friends for the past decade and not strangers who met a mere 48 hours earlier. We had one last group practice and with our cups full, our bellies and minds nourished, we all floated back home, ready for our upcoming week. Cannot recommend this experience enough. -Tara Hansen
- Just wanted to let you know how excited I am to be registered for your upcoming retreat in October with my sister 😍. The last one we attended was just what I needed, and more than I could have expected. From the insanely delicious food to the ultra comfy beds, the Retreat House is truly a welcoming and relaxing oasis 🫶. The activities you offered, from late night Karaoke fun to early morning snowy runs, were both entertaining and enjoyable! And of course your restorative yoga 🧘♀️ classes were your usual blend of energizing, inspiring and therapeutic🙏.- Kara
- A Retreat for the Soul, Even in a StormI've been fortunate enough to experience Angela's yoga retreats at the Retreat House Holistic B&B in Collingwood twice now, and each time has been a replenishment for my soul. The accommodations are incredibly comfortable, the food is made with care and is nourishing and delicious, and the company is warm and welcoming.
What truly sets these retreats apart is the dedication to intentional wellness. Starting and ending each day with thoughtful yoga and wellness practices creates a sense of peace and rejuvenation that permeates the entire weekend. You may also have the opportunity to experience very relaxing massage or facials, and visit the spa.
I even had the opportunity to experience the retreat's magic during the ice storm of March 2025. Even without power, Angela and the Retreat House team and friends, (special shout out to Deb, Jen and Maria) went well out of their way putting us up for the time we needed to get home safely, and ensured that we were all safe, welcome, comfortable, and well-cared for. It speaks volumes that even amidst a power outage, the atmosphere remained serene and relaxing. If you're seeking a truly transformative retreat experience, I wholeheartedly recommend Angela's retreats at the Retreat House Holistic B&B.- Krista M - I have been attending Angela’s yoga classes for 3 months now and it has literally changed my life in so many positive ways. She has given me more self confidence, determination and awareness of what serves me and my well being. I recently attended her Yoga retreat and it just solidified why I have made these healthy changes in my life. I met amazing, strong women while enjoying the relaxation and love of her yoga classes. I will definitely be attending another retreat again soon!!!- Erin L
- The noun “retreat” means a place you can go to be alone, to get away from it all.
Practising yoga is something one does for their own mind and body. Yet when it’s shared with several like-minded women with super positive energy and intentions and led and organized by the one and only Angela Tulk, it becomes a magical weekend experience.
I was lucky enough to attend Angela’s retreat in the fall of 2024 and had FOMO because I had to miss the most recent one.
In October 2025, I will be happily going again. From arrival on Friday afternoon until departure on Sunday, this is an awakening for all of the senses.
Angela’s yoga classes are each thoughtfully planned from the poses to her uniquely curated playlists. The food prepared by the owners of @the_retreat_house is beyond delicious and plentiful. The rooms are cozy and the beds comfortable and Mother Nature did some of her best work with the serene surroundings.
If you’re able to attend, I highly recommend not missing out. Namaste 🙏 🧘🏼♀️🩷- Gaye - Angela was the 1st yoga instructor i had about a year ago now. Since then I have had several different yoga teachers but she remains the best. Angela keeps her class engaged, is very personable, keeps safety first in her mind and offers modified movements when she sees a student needing an adjustment.Angela is gentle and funny. She keeps her classes light and relaxed while still challenging those that are willing. Angela is experienced and very much in her element when teaching yoga. I woukd highly recommend a yoga class by Angela.- Wende T
